Manhattan Beis World Cafe-Independence Day Edition

In addition to the regular program at this months Manhattan Beis World Café scheduled for July 2nd.  We will hold a memorial service in memory of Gilad Shaar, Naftali Frenkel and Eyal Yifrach. Additionally, we will be keeping the mood somber and respectful by not playing music.
What’s more American than apple pie? Cold brews, spicy wings and a music jam session on Independence day! Please join Roots-NY ‘s Manhattan Beis to help kick off the holiday weekend! Manhattan Beis is a monthly parlor event that fuses Jewish ideas, art, and thought-provoking discussion after hours. It is hosted as an interactive series of roundtable discussions between participants and presenters. The main event is preceded by dinner, mingling and live music. As 4th of July is just around the corner, we’ll tackle the issues of American Jewish Identity, Liberalism and Voting. What does it mean to be a Jewish American? What about our heritage that typically drives us toward liberalism? And which way do we sway when American interests are at odds with Israel’s?
